I wanted to share this funny picture with you. I got it from my brother-in-law who is over this week with my sister for a holiday. He has given me tonnes of funnies which I will share with you all daily. I thought this was a good one to start off with. Hi I am Esra and I am an MUN /Journalist/French-transfer guide and a really good person. I have never met such an interesting old man as MrM and although he has a belly he must have been pretty cool when he was younger...just a pity he is an old git now. Anyway I have far too much to do and not enough time. Kesir ölçek haritadaki 1 cm uzunluğun gerçekte kaç cm'ye eşit olduğunu gösterir. Pay daima 1'dir, payda gerçek uzunluktur.

Çizgi ölçek eşit parçalara bölünen doğru üzerinde gerçek uzunlukların belirtildiği ölçektir.

Haritalarda Yer Şekillerini Gösterme Yöntemleri:
1.Kabartma Yöntemi: Yer şekillerini gerçeğe en yakın gösteren haritalardır. Kullanımı sınırlı ve zordur.

1.Öncelikle deniz seviyesine göre aynı yükseltideki yerler belirlenir.

Four categories of horror:

Predation: It is the feel of being hunted. For example the predator of the story kills the other alives to assimilate his own life.
Paranormal: Predators are ghosts, vampires, undead.. These kind of stories play on the fear of the unknown.
Slasher: In Slasher, the killer isn't an animal, a human. It kills for fun- it doesn't have a moral. The killer is often close the victim. Unusual insturments are used.
Psychological: Less blood than the other categories. Usually slow, methodical with moments of uncomfortable frightening silence. Examines the mental breakdown of the main character.

Fear of the Unknown & Other:

1-Where are you going W. Have You Been story is an example of the fear of other.
2-Horror gets for the characters and the watcher if they do not really know what is going to happen. It is the simple explanation of the horror of the unknown.

What is Gothic?

It is style using art and literature and also architecture( part of art actually). Scary motives are always included. Beginning the 19th century- style of the darkness.

Horror Genre:

Thriller: (Silence of the lambs)- Psychological horror.
Macabre: Usually death- horrifying&scary aspects.
Suspense: To wait for something to happen with a feeling of worry. Harker& 3 girls during the molestation.
Gore: Bloody scenes- killing with knives-teeth etc.
Satire: Making fun of something really serious.
Satanistic: The devil& hell based stories.
Wonderment: The feeling you get from something strange- unexpected- unbelievable.

Quick history of horror:

1st horror movie was directed by French Filmmaker- Georges Melies. The English name was The Devil's Castle.
1st full length horror movie was made by Germany.
19th century was the growth of Horror. It was the great change.
Universal Studios of Hollywood-USA. The king of the horror films with Dracula, Frankestein and The legend of Sleepy Hallow.
2nd World War extremely effected the people. The newsreels of the war was more scary than horror films. So the popularity declined.

Important Elements of a Horror Story:

Character: Special people- protagonist, antagonist etc..
Setting: The place, time, or era when the literature takes place.
Tone&Mood: The way that someone presents the language. Whatever the tone is creates this for you.
Theme&Purpose: It is what the story is all about.
Language: Kinds of languages that the writer uses.
Plot: The story. The cases of the story.

Additions_

The sound is extremely important in a horror film. Because the difference of the tension is phenomenal when you watch the same scary scene of a horror film without sound.
The suspense triangle is very important.
Dracula was gothic, paranormal story. It was set in Transylvania and Dracula's Castle.
Where are you going W. Have You Been was an example of psychological suburbia, stalker. It was set in a house.

I watched a really good documentary about ID: Intelligence by Design. It basically is about , oh hang on, I am listening to my ipod now and Radiohead, In Rainbows and "jigsaw falling into pieces" just came on---OMS! it is a superb opening to a song, oh and I also added ipod to my pc dictionary along with radiohead, ANYWAY, ID and what it is. Basically it blows Darwinism out of its 19th century growth hole and gives it a big creationist shard of lightning up Charlie's arse! The best part about the documentary is the way Darwinist scientific establishments refuse point blank to accept anything other than evolution. But for a moment consider this: lest just say that yes we evolved from whatever. Right? Well where did those species evolve from? Where did they start? They had to start from somewhere right? And nobody knows how or where; even with the Big Bang theorists there are far too many holes that need explaining. Did you know for example that darwin had NO CLUE as to how a cell was made up- no one did at that time. Now we can split the dna strings and identify various genes and strains that unfortunately screw his whole theory up. OMS! we may have come from aliens or another life force at some stage of development far outside of our own. A higher intelligence being may have planted the seed of intelligence and has been watching it "evolve "for millions of years in our time span but a mere month in th eyes of the alternative life force...oh I love this shit...ID FOREVER kekekekeke

I have been feeling great all day because I feel on top of things. Well, not yesterday after school when a disaster happened. Brian managed to eat the climbing flower (again) which is simply devastating. But as I said to you today we must never forget to quesion things as it is the fountain of knowledge. If we stop questioning ourselves and those around us we become nothing; we are nothing; we will never be anything! So, I manage to deal with it by telling myself: the reason why Brian did that was not because he wanted to upset you, but because he is unable to think and question his actions. That is the profound difference. So, Mearns, appreciate what you have and work to make the others who cannot think and question realise how they have to mend their eating ways. ie. tie the bugger up!

Yep, Guys, since this is Monday and I am at home on my pc and having just watched three episodes of "How I met your mother" I guess it cannot be a normal Monday. Ahh, yes, it is a continuation of the bayram. I suppose with this start to the year school is just not going to be the same. I am preparing the year 11 exam first today before I get into my MSc course which will be on for the rest of the day. My wife is not home till late so I can go full throttle at the MET unit which will free me up for the remainder of the week. so, how was everyone's holiday? I saw only Bahadir and NO Cem the whole week of the blog. Was everyone away? Anyway get blogging and tell me all about your week of sheer bliss. Yep, due to the fact ı am on my new pc and it works like a racehorse, that I am downloading a new comedy series that is supposed to be so funny, whole first season arriving tomorrow, I have another day off tomorrow, my year 11 exam is about to be written and I want to study my new MSc module, life simply could not be any better. Hi 101ers,

I have recovered from yesterday's moody day with all that horrible weather and now facing a good day hopefully. *The drought is not just due to global warming, but also due to irresponsible irrigation practices and the drying up of water resources,” said Güven Eken, head of Nature Society, a nongovernmental organization, or NGO, as he stood on the dried surface of the lake Saturday.

*The lake, containing salt and minerals, has been a significant source of salt for Turkey for years. *Today, the area around the lake is covered with dry soil.

*Natural life ceased here. Flamingos, wild-ducks and many other birds used to come here. Today, there are only dead flamingo chicks on the ground !

*Unfortunately, 1.6 billion cubic meters of water is used in agriculture in the Konya basin each year. And 600 million cubic meters of water is wasted, and that water could prevent the drying up of Salt Lake.

The solution was to shift to drip irrigation systems and abandon dispatching irrigation systems, also known as rude irrigation. It should be the first measure to save the lake.

Another reason for the drought is the type of agricultural plants grown in the fields around Salt Lake. Sugar beet and corn plants, which demand too much water, are now preferred in the region.

The house is full of elekrik superge sese...it is driving me nuts as the dogs join in with their terrible barking chorus--not the idyllic Sunday morning felt at 7.22 this morning when I weathered the rain and took Brian out (for no reason as he wouldn't do his toilet in those wet conditions!) Don't even ask about Eddie he NEVER ventures under rain. So, as I sit here trying to do some work my procrastination levels are reaching new levels of laziness with regard to 'proper' work- ie the work I get paid for. I need to get moving but only once the electric fans are SWITCHED OFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFF...I notice that some more people have signed up but are not commenting or posting- how weird, don't you think Cem and Levent?

In line with the practices of the Student Council, our “casual dress days” are in effect this year, as well. Casual dress may be worn by our Primary school students on Wednesdays and High school students on Fridays, on condition that they comply with the rules that are established by the Student Council.

What may be worn?You may wear every kind of clothes you have at home and you use in your daily life as long as they are appropriate for school. This means that you do not have to buy anything new.

The following may not be worn:
*Clothes that has prints which are not appropriate for a school environment
*Clothes with slang prints on
*Uniforms of teams or other fan clothes
*Torn blue jeans and other clothes with tears
*Pants with too low waists
*High heel shoes
*Transparent clothes or those that has holes
*Work out clothes
*Mini shorts
*For girls: T-shirts with straps, too low necklines or those that show the belly
*For boys: sleeveless t-shirts, tanks without sleeves
*Exaggerated accessories such as metal chains or long key chains
*Hats, berets
*Sweatshirts with hoods may be worn however hoods may not be pulled up when inside school
*Slippers or sandals
*Too short mini skirts
*Clauses in the Student and Parent Handbooks related to jewelry make up and hair dos should be complied with.
*Clothes that has prints associating with drugs, alcoholic drinks, sex, terror, ideological or religious slogans.
*When you are sensitive and careful about following the above stated rules, casual dress days at school will be pleasant for all.

I am confused, I thought the FB game was on Wednesday? Anyway, a new day and it's Friday. Normally I am happy that the weekend has arrived but with HEV and year 9 plus drama and journalism I don't want the week to end. So, today I hope we have a great lesson because yesterday too many people were not focused. That is not cool after only 2 weeks. We have to lift ourselves today and make the two periods together Stoning!!

Hey guys, I thought today was really good. I got surprised to see how scared everyone was with the latest version of the classic story originally penned by Bram Stoker. In fact Stoker penned the story when he was on holiday in Scotland and the place he did it was not far from where my mother was born:Cruden Bay. I have played golf there but I didn't meet anyone with long teeth, bloody eyes and mouth or even a long cloak. The picture shows where Stoker got his inspiration. Remember it is dark there with howling wind and loads of rain....really creepy dudes and dudesses
